Abstract
This part of GB/T 20975 specifies the molybdenum blue spectrophotometry and gravimetry methods for determining the silicon content in aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This part is applicable to the arbitral determination of the silicon content in aluminum and aluminum alloys. The determination range of the molybdenum blue spectrophotometry method is 0.001% to 15.00%; the determination range of the gravimetry method is 10.00% to 63.00%.
Note: When the silicon mass fraction is >10.00% to 15.00%, the gravimetry method is used as the arbitral method.
