Abstract
This part of GB/T 9771 specifies the classification, tolerance rules, requirements, and test methods for B1.2-class single-mode optical fibers with a shifted cutoff wavelength.
This part applies to B1.2-class single-mode optical fibers used in communication cables and other information transmission equipment. Among them, B1.2a, B1.2b, B1.2c, and B1.2d are more suitable for submarine communication cables, while B1.2e is suitable for terrestrial long-distance trunk cables.
Note: The fiber size parameters and transmission characteristics in this part refer to the specifications of G.654-class optical fibers in ITU-T G.654 (2016), and the mechanical and environmental performance of the fibers refer to the specifications of B1.2-class optical fibers in IEC 60793-2-50:2015.
