GB/T 12385-2025 Standard test methods for sealability of gaskets for pipe flanges
Abstract
This document describes three methods for determining the sealing performance of gasket seals used in pipe flanges: the leak detection cavity pressurization method (Method A), the pressure drop method (Method B), and the helium mass spectrometry vacuum leak detection method (Method C).
This document is applicable to the sealing performance determination of non-metallic flat gaskets, wrapped gaskets, PTFE-coated gaskets, metal-coated gaskets, flexible graphite composite reinforced gaskets, metal toothed composite gaskets, and metal wave-toothed composite gaskets. For other types of gaskets, please refer to the relevant standards for implementation.
