Abstract
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and storage requirements for magnetic switch intrusion detectors (hereinafter referred to as magnetic switches) in intrusion alarm systems. It serves as the basic basis for the design, manufacture, and inspection of magnetic switches. This standard applies to magnetic switches used in intrusion alarm systems that employ reed switches as switching elements. Magnetic switches for other purposes may be implemented in accordance with this standard.
