GB/T 18142-2017 Information technology—Representation of data elements values—Notation of the format
Abstract
This standard specifies the notation used to describe the format (i.e., the character type used in the representation of data elements and the length of these representations), and also specifies additional notations related to the representation of numbers. For example, this formatting technique may be used in the metadata section of data elements. The scope of application of this standard is limited to graphic characters such as numbers, letters, and special characters. And it is limited to basic data types such as characters, strings, integers, real numbers, and pointers.
