GB/T 8323.1-2008 Plastic—Smoke generation—Part 1:Guidance on optical-density testing
Abstract
This part of GB/T 8323 is applicable to all plastics, and can also be used for the evaluation of other materials (such as rubber, textile covers, painted surfaces, wood, and other materials).
This part is used to determine the smoke density produced by plastics during combustion, and the maximum smoke density is taken as the test result. It is only used to evaluate the smoke emission performance of plastics under specified conditions, and cannot evaluate the harm of smoke emission during actual use.
