This section stipulates the bibliographic items and their arrangement order, the identifiers used for bibliographic recording, the sources of bibliographic information, the language used for bibliographic recording, and the detailed rules for bibliographic items, etc. The objects of bibliographic recording in this section are modern Chinese books and modern editions of ancient Chinese books published after 1912 (including 1912). The bibliographic recording of books in various ethnic minority languages can be used for reference. This section applies to national bibliographies, library catalogs, and various types of book collections. Other book catalogs can also be used for reference.
