Abstract
This document applies to mechanical switchgear designed for use as "circuit breakers for equipment" (CBE) in household and similar applications. The circuit breakers specified in this document are intended to provide protection for the internal wiring of electrical equipment, including its components (such as motors, transformers, and internal wiring). This document also applies to circuit breakers used to protect electrical equipment in the event of under-voltage and/or over-voltage conditions. This document also covers circuit breakers suitable for isolation purposes.
