Adequate adhesion between the various layers of the hose is the basis for its proper functioning during use. This standard specifies the methods for determining the adhesion strength between the inner lining and reinforcement layer, the outer covering and reinforcement layer, the reinforcement layers, the outer covering and outer lining (a thin layer located outside the outer covering that serves as a protective layer), and the inner lining and lining insert (a thin layer located inside the inner lining that reduces the penetration of fluids into the inner lining). This standard applies to hoses of all sizes and includes the following types of hose structures:
——Woven fabrics;
——Braided fabrics;
——Knit fabrics;
——Circular woven fabrics;
——Fabric windings;
——Curtain fabrics;
——Steel wire braiding;
——Steel wire windings;
——Supporting spiral lines.
For the hose to perform satisfactorily, there should be sufficient adhesion between its various components.
