GB/T 20975.8-2020 Methods for chemical analysis of aluminium and aluminium alloys—Part 8:Determination of zinc content
Abstract
This part of GB/T 20975 specifies the Na2EDTA titration method and the flame atomic absorption spectrometry method for determining the zinc content in aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This part is applicable to the arbitral determination of zinc content in aluminum and aluminum alloys. The measurement range of the Na2EDTA titration method is 2.00% to 14.00%; the measurement range of the flame atomic absorption spectrometry method is 0.001% to 14.00%.
The Na2EDTA titration method is not suitable for alloys with a lead content greater than 0.01% or a cobalt content greater than 0.05%.
Note: When the zinc mass fraction is greater than 2.00% to 14.00%, the flame atomic absorption spectrometry method shall be used as the arbitral method.
