GB/T 18950-2023 Rubber and plastics hoses—Methods of exposure to laboratory light sources—Determination of changes in colour,appearance and other physical properties
Abstract
This document describes the methods of exposing rubber and plastic hoses to three laboratory light sources (xenon arc lamps, fluorescent UV lamps, and open carbon arc lamps).
These methods simulate the exposure conditions when the hoses are used in outdoor environments (xenon arc lamp exposure method A, fluorescent UV lamp exposure method A, and open carbon arc lamp exposure method 1) or in indoor environments (xenon arc lamp exposure method B, fluorescent UV lamp exposure method B, and open carbon arc lamp exposure method 2).
This document specifies four types of test specimens (two types each subjected to stress during exposure and not subjected to stress). The results obtained using the three light sources and different exposure conditions cannot be compared.
