GB/T 21461.2-2023 Plastics—Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (PE-UHMW) moulding and extrusion materials—Part 2:Preparation of test specimens and determination of properties
Abstract
This document specifies the sample preparation methods and test methods for the determination of the properties of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (PE-UHMW) molding and extrusion materials. This document also provides requirements for handling test materials and adjusting the state of test materials before molding and adjusting the state of samples before testing.
This document provides methods and conditions for the preparation of samples of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene molding and extrusion materials, as well as methods for determining the material properties using these samples. The performance and test methods listed in this document are suitable and necessary for characterizing ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene molding and extrusion materials.
These properties are selected from GB/T 19467.1 General Test Methods. This document also provides other test methods widely used or of particular significance for ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene molding and extrusion materials, such as the test methods for named properties specified in Part 1 of this document. The materials specified in this document are those with a melt mass flow rate of less than 0.1 g/10 min at 190℃/21.6 kg according to GB/T 1845.1.
To obtain reproducible and comparable test results, the methods of sample preparation and state adjustment specified in this document, as well as sample sizes and test methods, should be used. Data obtained using samples of different sizes or samples prepared by different methods may not be consistent.
