Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, inspection agencies and inspectors, inspection cycles, inspection preparations, regular inspections and evaluations, assembly and degreasing of accessories, and post-inspection work for in-use welded insulated gas cylinders (hereinafter referred to as gas cylinders). This standard applies to vertical and horizontal gas cylinders that are used in normal ambient temperatures (–40°C to 60°C), store low-temperature liquids such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, and liquefied natural gas, have a design temperature of not less than –196°C, a nominal volume of 10L to 500L, and a nominal working pressure of 0.2MPa to 3.5MPa that can be refilled repeatedly. Gas cylinders with a nominal volume greater than 500L may refer to this standard for implementation.
