GB/T 12703.5-2020 Textiles—Test methods for electrostatic propensity—Part 5:Test method using rotary mechanical friction
Abstract
This document specifies the method for determining the frictional electrification voltage of fabrics using the friction method of rotating machinery.
This document is applicable to fabrics of various compositions and structures that can withstand frictional electrification operations.
This document is not applicable to the evaluation of clothing and clothing materials involving personal safety and the protection of electrostatic discharge-sensitive devices.
Note: Some fabrics, such as those with low strength or loose structures, may not be able to withstand the mechanical friction in this test method, or may produce erroneous results. In such cases, the method specified in GB/T 12703.1 can be used for testing.
