GB/T 23512-2015 Petroleum and natural gas industries—Evaluation and testing of thread compounds for use with casing,tubing,line pipe and drill stem elements
Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements, inspection, and test methods for thread grease used in threaded casings, oil pipes, pipeline pipes, and rotating shoulder connections. The tests specified in this standard are used to evaluate the performance and physical and chemical properties of thread grease under laboratory conditions. This standard's test methods are applicable to thread grease formulated with lubricating base oils, but not to thread grease formulated with other bases. Many regions or sites have environmental protection requirements for this type of thread grease, but these requirements are not included in this standard. End users are responsible for investigating these requirements and making corresponding decisions on the selection, use, and disposal of thread grease and related waste materials.
