Abstract
This standard specifies the method for determining the content of vinyl acetate in food simulants.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of vinyl acetate in four food simulants: water, 3% (mass concentration) acetic acid solution, 10% (volume fraction) ethanol solution, and olive oil.
The lower limit for the determination of vinyl acetate in three water-based food simulants (water, 3% (mass concentration) acetic acid solution, and 10% (volume fraction) ethanol solution) is 2.4 mg/L, and the lower limit for the determination of vinyl acetate in olive oil is 2.4 mg/kg.
