Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions for the design of forestry overhead ropeways, general design principles, the layout of ropeway routes, the selection of ropeway equipment, the survey and design of ropeway routes, and the design of ropeways.
This standard applies to the design of forestry overhead ropeways used for various operations such as timber collection, timber transportation, and loading and unloading. The design of freight overhead ropeways can also be used for reference.
