Abstract
This document specifies the reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, determination steps, result calculation, precision, detection limit, and quantification limit for the determination of quaternary ammonium salts in disinfectants by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. This document is applicable to the determination of dodecyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (C12BAC), tetradecyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (C14BAC), hexadecyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (C16BAC), didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (DDAC), dodecyl trimethyl bromide (DTAB), and dodecyl dimethyl 2-phenoxyethyl bromide (EDDAB) in disinfectants.
