Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of dibromoheptane.
This standard applies to dibromoheptane produced by brominating 5,5-dimethylheptane. It is mainly used for disinfection and algae removal in industrial circulating water, swimming pools, landscape fountains, hospital wastewater, medical devices, aquaculture, food processing, and hotel sanitary ware. It can also be used for sterilization and preservation in cold storage and controlled atmosphere storage, disinfection and sterilization during port inspection and quarantine, and epidemic prevention and disinfection in epidemic areas. It is used as a brominating agent in the organic synthesis chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, and rubber industry.
