GB/T 19518.1-2024 Explosive atmospheres—Electrical resistance traces heating—Part 1:General and testing requirements
Abstract
This document specifies the general and testing requirements for resistance-type heaters used in explosive environments, except for those of equipment protection level (EPL) Ga and Da. This document applies to resistance-type heaters composed of factory-assembled units or on-site (worksite) assembled units, which may be series heaters, parallel heaters, heating pads, or heating boards assembled and/or terminated in accordance with the manufacturer's user manual. This document also includes requirements for termination components and control methods used in heating systems. The explosive environments covered in this document are defined in GB 3836.14 and GB/T 3836.35. This document supplements and modifies the general requirements of GB/T 3836.1-2021, as shown in Table 1. When the requirements of this document conflict with those of GB/T 3836.1-2021, the requirements of this document shall take precedence.
