Abstract
This part of GB/T 5095 specifies the test method for measuring the effective (surface) transfer impedance ZTE (expressed in Ω) of shielded non-circular multi-core electrical short-circuit connectors with a maximum frequency of 1 GHz, using a network analyzer to evaluate the shielding effect. This method is based on the line injection method specified in GB/T 17737.1-2013, using a specific type of injection line to adapt to various shapes of connectors. In the method described below, due to the use of a specific test device, the shielding of the connector itself is not tested, but the shielding of two connectors combined together (male and female), that is, the test results include the shielding effect of the two connectors, the interface between the connectors, and the connection between the cable and the connector.
