Abstract

This part of GB/T 11348 provides specific provisions for evaluating the radial vibration intensity of rotating shafts measured at or near the main bearing. It includes:
—— Vibration during normal steady-state operation;
—— Vibration during other (non-steady) operating conditions, such as during transient changes (including speed-up or speed-down, initial load and load changes);
—— Vibration changes during normal steady-state operation.
This part applies to land-mounted turbines and generators with a rated working speed of 1,500 r/min, 1,800 r/min, 3,000 r/min or 3,600 r/min, and an output power greater than 50 MW. It also applies to turbines and/or generators directly connected to gas turbines (e.g., in combined-cycle applications). In these cases, the guidelines of this part only apply to turbines and generators (including synchronous clutches). The vibration of gas turbines should be evaluated in accordance with GB/T 11348.4 and GB/T 6075.4.
The vibration values specified in this part are not the only basis for evaluating vibration intensity. For large turbines and generators, vibration values measured on non-rotating components are also commonly used for evaluation. The requirements for these vibration measurements are described in GB/T 6075.1 and GB/T 6075.2.
