Abstract
This standard specifies the code description and detailed classification of lubricating oils for automotive and off-road internal combustion engines (gasoline engine oils, diesel engine oils, and agricultural diesel engine oils).
This standard does not apply to the classification of diesel engine oils for railway locomotives and marine diesel engine oils.
