GB/Z 40295-2021 Power performance assessment of electricity producing wave energy converters
Abstract
This document provides an evaluation method for the power generation performance of wave energy conversion devices during power generation tests at test sites.
This document is applicable to all wave energy conversion devices that convert wave energy into electricity and are fixed in a flexible or tension-chain anchored manner, with bottom or shore-based fixation, in all marine areas (nearshore and offshore, deep and shallow water).
This document is not applicable to:
a) wave energy conversion devices that do not generate electricity;
b) scale devices tested in tanks or under small-scale marine conditions, where all measurement results require extrapolation to obtain full-scale results;
c) resource assessment;
d) power quality;
e) environmental issues;
f) power matrices extrapolated from one point to another.
This document describes the following system methods:
—— measuring the power output of wave energy conversion devices under real sea conditions;
—— power matrices of wave energy conversion devices;
—— a reporting framework for electric power output and wave energy flow input.
