Abstract
This document specifies the requirements for the design, materials, welding, quality control, factory acceptance tests, painting, marking, preparation for shipment, and documentation of axial flow valves, ball valves, check valves, gate valves, and plug valves used in the oil and gas industry. This document applies to the design, manufacture, and inspection of axial flow valves, ball valves, check valves, gate valves, and plug valves used in the oil and gas industry with nominal pressures of Class 150, Class 300, Class 600, Class 900, Class 1500, and Class 2500. Valves with intermediate nominal pressures should be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions.
