GB/T 18457-2015 Stainless steel needle tubing for the manufacture of medical devices
Abstract
This standard specifies the dimensions, surface finish, and mechanical properties of normal-wall and thin-wall tubes with metric specifications of 0.2 mm to 3.4 mm, as well as ultra-thin-wall tubes with specifications of 0.6 mm to 2.1 mm. This standard applies to injection needles for intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous injections, as well as other medical devices made of rigid stainless steel tubes (hereinafter referred to as "needle tubes"). This standard does not apply to flexible stainless steel needles, as their mechanical properties differ from those specified in this standard. However, manufacturers and purchasers of flexible needles are encouraged to select sizes in accordance with the specifications outlined in this standard.
