Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements for lithium, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage, as well as the content of quality certificates and purchase orders (or contracts). This standard applies to metallic lithium produced from anhydrous lithium chloride by molten salt electrolysis and refining, which is used in chemical industry, non-ferrous metals, medicine, synthetic rubber catalysis, and smelting deoxidation, among other applications.
