This standard specifies the terms and definitions of stainless spring steel wire, order content, grades and groups, dimensions, shapes, weights and allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates.
This standard is applicable to austenitic and precipitation-hardened stainless spring steel wire used in the manufacture of springs.
