GB/T 18449.2-2012 Metallic materials—Knoop hardness test—Part 2:Verification and calibration of testing machines
Abstract
This part of GB/T 18449 specifies the inspection and calibration methods for Brinell hardness testers (hereinafter referred to as hardness testers) with a test force range of 0.09807 N to 19.614 N, used to determine the Brinell hardness of metal materials according to GB/T 18449.1—2009. This part is only applicable to indentations with a long diagonal length of not less than 0.020 mm.
This part applies to the direct inspection method for checking the basic functions of hardness testers and the indirect inspection method for checking the comprehensive performance of hardness testers. The indirect inspection method can be used independently for regular inspections of hardness testers in use.
If the hardness tester is also used for hardness tests by other methods, the hardness tester should be inspected separately for each method.
