Abstract
This document specifies the basic principles of insulation design for equipment and pipelines, the classification of insulation design, the principles of material selection, insulation calculation, insulation structure, the main construction technical requirements of insulation engineering, and the testing and evaluation of insulation effects.
This document is applicable to the insulation design of equipment, pipelines, and their accessories with an outer surface temperature ranging from -196°C to 850°C.
This document is not applicable to equipment and pipelines with special requirements in nuclear energy, aviation, aerospace, and other systems.
