Abstract
This standard specifies the safety guidelines that passenger elevators, hospital bed elevators, and freight elevators should comply with during their manufacture and installation, in order to prevent accidents that may harm passengers or damage goods during elevator operation. This standard applies to power-driven traction or forced passenger elevators, hospital bed elevators, and freight elevators.
