Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of stainless spring steel wire, order content, grades and groups, dimensions, shapes, weights, and allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates.
This standard applies to austenitic and precipitation-hardened stainless spring steel wire (hereinafter referred to as steel wire) used for making springs.
