Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for ionizing radiation level gauges. This standard applies to ionizing radiation level gauges that utilize a radiation source to continuously or point-by-point (single or multi-point) measure the position of a material's surface or the interface between two substances with different densities and that do not mix. The material being measured can be a liquid or a powdery solid, and the output signal can be a continuous quantity or a switching quantity.
