Abstract
This standard specifies the dimensions, mechanical properties, and test methods for flexible metal wires used in suturing or other forms of surgical procedures to fix tissues and implants. The mechanical properties include tensile strength, elongation, and the ability to resist damage from bending and twisting.
This standard does not address surface polishing.
