GB/T 3836.16-2022

This document specifies the general requirements for the inspection and maintenance of electrical installations in hazardous areas, as well as additional requirements for different types of explosion-proof devices. The provisions of this document apply to users, and the content it contains relates to the inspection and maintenance of electrical installations used in hazardous areas, where the danger may be caused by flammable gases, vapors, mists, dust, fibers, or flying fluff. This document does not include: -- other basic installation and inspection requirements for electrical installations; -- verification of electrical equipment; -- repair and restoration of explosion-proof equipment (see GB/T 3836.13). This document supplements the requirements of GB/T 16895.23. In the presence of dust, fibers, or flying fluff, the cleanliness of the site during cleaning may affect the requirements for inspection and maintenance. This document applies to areas where explosive gas or dust mixtures with air, or flammable dust layers, pose a danger under atmospheric conditions. This document does not apply to: -- underground coal mines; -- explosive dust that does not require oxygen in the atmosphere for combustion; -- self-igniting substances.
