This document specifies the classification, requirements, inspection rules, marking, labeling, user manuals, packaging, transportation, and storage of extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) for insulation, and describes the corresponding test methods. This document applies to extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) for insulation with a use temperature not exceeding 75°C, including extruded polystyrene foam with and without a skin layer, extruded polystyrene foam with special edge structures and surface treatments, as well as the production, inspection, and sale of extruded polystyrene foam modified with additives such as graphite. This document also applies to the production, inspection, and sale of extruded polystyrene foam for insulation in prefabricated components, floor radiant heating systems, and composite insulation systems.
