GB/T 457-2008 Paper and board—Determination of folding endurance
Abstract
This standard specifies the Schober method and the MIT method for determining the folding endurance of paper and cardboard, and proposes the conditions that should be observed when using the instruments, as well as the matters that should be paid attention to when using each instrument. The Schober method is suitable for paper with a thickness of less than 0.25 mm and a tensile strength of more than 1.33 kN/m, as well as cardboard with a thickness of 0.25 mm to 1.4 mm. The MIT method features a clamp with adjustable spacing and is suitable for paper and cardboard with a thickness of no more than 1.25 mm.
