Abstract
This standard specifies the general principles for determining the experimental parameters of the incident electron beam, spectrometer, and sample during electron probe analysis, and stipulates the measurement process for beam current, beam density, dead time, wavelength resolution, background, analysis area, analysis depth, and analysis volume.
This standard is applicable to the analysis of polished samples using a vertically incident electron beam. For other experimental conditions, these experimental parameters can only be used as a reference.
This standard is not applicable to energy spectroscopy.
