Abstract
This standard specifies the classification and designations of quenched and tempered spring steel wire (hereinafter referred to as steel wire), the content of orders, diameters, shapes, and allowable deviations, manufacturing methods, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This standard is applicable to the manufacture of various mechanical springs using carbon and low-alloy quenched and tempered round-section steel wire.
