This document specifies:
——An exchange format for DNA typing data;
——The elements, test assertions, and test procedures of the compliance test method for the DNA data exchange format.
This document applies to:
——The exchange of DNA typing data used for individual identification using human DNA;
——The assertion test of the structure of the DNA data exchange format specified in Chapter 6 of this document (corresponding to Level 1 of Type A defined in ISO/IEC 291091:2009);
The assertion test of internal consistency by detecting the type of each field of the DNA data (corresponding to Level 2 of Type A defined in ISO/IEC 291091:2009).
This document does not apply to:
——The compliance test of the CBEFF structure required by this document;
——The compliance test of the biometric identification data exchange format at Level 3;
——Tests of other characteristics of biometric identification products or other types of tests (such as acceptance rate, performance, robustness, and security, etc.);
——The compliance test of systems that do not generate records that meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of this document;
——Any other purposes, especially the exchange of medical and other health-related information.
This document will enable the exchange or mutual comparison of DNA typing data and genome sequencing data, including the output of compatible DNA typing data and genome sequencing data by any other system that follows the data format specified in this document, based on compliance with relevant privacy protection regulations.
This document covers forensic DNA typing technology, high-throughput sequencing technology, or other genetic marker analysis based on short tandem repeats (STRs, including autosomes, X chromosomes, Y chromosomes), mitochondrial DNA, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), etc.
