Abstract
This document specifies the general requirements for lubricating oil systems for general or special purposes, oil-lubricated shaft sealing systems, dry gas-lubricated end-face shaft sealing systems, and control oil systems, and defines the general applications of lubricating oil systems. These systems can be used in equipment such as compressors, gearboxes, pumps, and drive motors.
This document can be used in conjunction with ISO 10438-2, ISO 10438-3, and ISO 10438-4.
