Abstract
This standard specifies the most basic safety requirements for the design, manufacture, inspection, use, and management of freight overhead ropeways.
This standard applies to circular freight overhead ropeways and reciprocating freight overhead ropeways.
This standard does not apply to forestry logging ropeways, simple ropeways in other sectors, dual-use ropeways for passengers and freight, and temporary lightweight ropeways.
