GB/T 38761-2020 Geometrical product specifications(GPS)—Characteristics and conditions—Definitions
Abstract
This standard defines general terms regarding geometric specifications, characteristics, and conditions. These definitions are based on the concepts in GB/T 24637.1 and GB/T 38760, as well as the mathematical descriptions in Appendix B of GB/T 24637.1-2020.
This standard is not only applicable to industrial applications, but can also serve as a "roadmap" for understanding and planning geometric feature requirements, thereby enabling industrial and software manufacturers to achieve standardization consistency.
This standard defines the basic types of geometric features and conditions, which are applicable to the following scenarios:
——A workpiece;
——An assembly;
——A batch of workpieces;
——A batch of assemblies.
These definitions are based on the concepts of operation sets and the principle of duality in GB/T 24637.1 and GB/T 24637.2, as well as the descriptions of geometric feature types in GB/T 38760.
Conceptually, these normative operations can be used as normative operation sets or inspection operation sets (principle of duality).
This standard is not intended to define GPS specifications, symbols, or other types of representations.
