GB/T 5211.18-2015 General methods of test for pigments and extenders—Part 18:Determination of residue on sieve—Water method（Manual procedure）
Abstract
This part of GB/T 5211 specifies a general test method for determining the sieve residue of pigments and body pigment samples dispersed in water. Part 14 of GB/T 5211 specifies a general test method for determining the sieve residue of pigments and body pigments using mechanical washing. For most pigments and body pigments, these two methods will yield different results. Therefore, it should be clearly indicated in the product standard which method to choose, and it should be noted in the test report. Note: When this general method is not applicable to a particular product, a dedicated method should be specified to determine the sieve residue.
