This part of GB/T 5584 specifies the terms and definitions, code symbols and representation methods, cross-sections, materials, dimensions and deviations, mechanical properties, electrical properties, joints, flatness, surface quality, delivery quality, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and transportation and storage of copper and aluminum flat wires and copper strips used in electrical applications. This part is applicable to the manufacture of windings for motors and electrical equipment, the installation of power distribution equipment, and other copper and aluminum flat wires and copper strips used in electrical applications.
