This document specifies the performance requirements and environmental protection requirements for lamps using electric light sources with a power supply voltage not exceeding 1,000 V. Unless otherwise specified, the performance data referred to in this document apply to new lamps that have completed the required initial aging process and are representative of the lamps in the market. This document sets requirements for the energy-efficient use of lamps and reliable environmental management at the end of their lifecycle. The purpose of this document is to provide a set of requirements that are generally applicable to most types of lamps. Additional performance requirements for special types of light sources are specified in Part 2 (all parts). Part 2 (all parts) also covers a wider range of performance specifications for special light source technologies. This document applies to lamps using electric light sources with a power supply voltage not exceeding 1,000 V. This document does not apply to semi-lamps. The performance parameters specified in this document do not apply to certain types of lamps (such as decorative lamps or certain types of household lamps).
