Abstract
This standard specifies the rules for spelling modern Chinese using the "Hanyu Pinyin Scheme". The content includes rules for conjunctive spelling of verbs, spelling rules for names and places, capitalization rules, tone marking rules, hyphenation rules, and rules for the use of punctuation. To meet special needs, some alternative rules are also provided.
This standard is applicable to Chinese pinyin spelling in cultural education, editing and publishing, Chinese information processing, and other fields.
