This document specifies the basic requirements for the materials, design, fabrication, installation, inspection, testing, safety protection, insulation, and anti-corrosion of pipelines using steam and water as media within the boundaries of thermal power plants. Other pressure pipelines within the boundaries of thermal power plants shall comply with GB/T 20801 (all parts). This document does not apply to: a) boiler body pipelines; b) nuclear power plant pipelines; c) pipelines for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, as well as non-circular section pipelines; d) pipelines used in various towers, building frames, storage tanks, mechanical equipment, and instrumentation; e) non-metallic pipelines. The boundaries between the pipelines specified in this document and the pipelines within the boiler body are shown in Figures 1 and 2. Reference symbols explanation: -- Boiler body pipelines are managed in accordance with TSG 11; -- External boiler pipelines and joints (i.e., steam and water pipelines and joints specified in Chapter 1) shall comply with the design and calculation requirements of TSG 11 for pipelines within the boiler scope and refer to the requirements of this document; -- Non-external boiler pipelines and joints.
