This document specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, inspection conditions, inspection methods, marking and packaging of cylindrical rulers, rectangular rulers, knife-edge rectangular rulers, triangular rulers, knife-edge rectangular rulers, wide-seat knife-edge rectangular rulers, plane-shaped rectangular rulers, plane-shaped rectangular rulers with seats, and wide-seat rectangular rulers (collectively referred to as "rectangular rulers"). This document is applicable to rectangular rulers with a measured surface length of 50 mm to 1,600 mm.
