This part of GB/T 21063 specifies the core metadata required to describe the characteristics of government information resources and their representation methods, and provides definitions and cataloging rules for each core metadata. This part specifies 6 mandatory core metadata and 6 optional core metadata to describe the identification, content, management, and other information of government information resources, and also provides the expansion principles and methods of core metadata. This part is applicable to the cataloging, database construction, release, and query of government information resources.
